This class has been very rewarding. I have learned so much in so little time. I never knew how html. is used, now I can write html. code. FTP was somthing I never understood , but now I do. The most valuable lesson was domain development and design hosting. I as stated in blog 8, Go Daddy .com was very helpful and has a great tutorial program.
My future plan is to develop several web site for work and personal purpose. Aslo, I would like to take some classes on flash and e commerce sites.

Blog 8
Well we are getting down to the wire. As much as I have enjoyed coming to class, I am more glad it is near the end. So what have I learned? Web design requires a lot of time and patients. There is this great mystery of how the whole thing works even though we use the web quite frequently.
GoDaddy.com is going to be hosting my web site and domain. They seem to be very user friendly and the tech support is very helpful. I have called them several times and they have always been helpful plus nice to talk with .
Also, learning how to use the editor programs such as Photoshop, can be very useful. Learn how to properly size your images to they can be seen by the users.
I do have a better perspective of what it take to create a site and I have respect for the people that do this for a living. After this class I plan on learning more about web design.

Video Web site. What can I say, but it is truly awesome you can watch a video clip instantly. There are the pod cast site that let you see various submitted clip such as www.metacafe.com
These are entertaining, but there are site that focus video information to display there products.
Here are a few that do a good job. Art Morrison Chassis has several video clips about their company and products. My web site will be linking to there site eventually. We have used their products and they would like to feature us.
Another site is Haas CNC Machines. They use videos as flash and to demonstrate their products. The video is awesome, the production of it is something out of a Pink Floyd Song. They using state of the art animation to interest the viewer. One warning it is a long video .
The last site that I find totally intriguing is the food network's video section. It is a great way to get quick cooking tips. The format is similar to watching the television program; i.e. commercials.
Check these three out and let me know what you think.

Blog 5 Delicious
At first I thought Delicious was ridiculous, but I now see the benefits. My Delicious is now created and I invite you to check it out. One thing I find useful is the ability to quickly link your favorite sites. Hopefully this will help in linking to sites that are important to the content of my new web site.

Blog 4. Fair Usage
Having searched around the Internet, I found many free images, text, fonts and other useful design product. Sites such as Free clip art . com , Barry's Clip art Services & Animation factory to name a few. They all offer free downloads of clips, but if you are after something less common or more complex, they offer these product at a reasonable rate.
My feelings about using copy written information, is you should have to compensate or site at any given time no matter what the situation call for. The creator deserves the credit, as you would feel the same way on your inventions.
A good example of how to site information has been given by one of our fellow students this quarter, Scott Laslo. As easily as it could have been to re- write his ideas, the honest and reputable way is to site him or in this case link his blog.
I another site called Nolo .com has some good advice plus some links that give you a clear understanding for different situation . This site claim limited usage is okay if criticizing or commenting.
In conclusion if you ever are unsure, quote the greater or research your information to deside how you can use it.

Blog 3
For my web site creation , I will be re-creating an existing one. This web site is www.garretsrodshop.com . In my previous blogs, you can find some of the reasons why I am working on this particular one. The main reason, it is a site that I own and it needs seriously up dating. The audience it is directed to are car enthusiast. People looking to have a custom or vintage car built or restored. The look I am going for will be similar , but this company has a new logo and there will be a much larger picture gallery. Another feature I want to include is a store front , to purchase goods, and have some Flash in the design.
